Declaration of accessibility

The Institute for equality of women and men is committed to making this website accessible, in accordance with the following legislation: Law of 19 July 2018 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.

This accessibility statement applies to: https://genderatwork.be

Level of compliance

A simplified audit of this website was carried out, which showed that it partially complies with accessibility requirements.

Preparation of statement

On 18 June 2026, an external audit (a simplified analysis) of accessibility was carried out.

Please refer to the BOSA audit report.

Inaccessible content

  • Some images, icons or graphical buttons on the website do not have text alternatives.
  • Some elements on the site use ARIA attributes that are not permitted for their role, which may lead to interpretation issues for assistive technologies.
  • Some elements have insufficient colour contrast.
  • Some links do not have discernible text.
  • Some links cannot be distinguished from the surrounding text in a way that is not based solely on colour.
  • Elements other than <li>, <script> or <template> are used directly within lists (<ul> or <ol>), which may disrupt the structure of the content and make it more difficult for assistive technologies to interpret.
  • The <html> element does not include a language attribute (lang), which may prevent assistive technologies from correctly identifying the language of the content.
  • Some complex interactive elements (such as drop-down menus or custom buttons) do not correctly convey their name, role or state (open/closed) to assistive software.

Proposed alternatives

The website will be updated shortly to comply with accessibility standards.

For certain content, there is currently no alternative available to bypass the identified inaccessible content. If you have any questions or encounter any problems accessing any part of the content, please contact the Institute at the following address: info@igvm.be.

Improvement plan

To resolve the issues, the supplier responsible for developing the website needs to intervene. This intervention is scheduled for December 2026.

Date

This statement was drawn up on 10 July 2025.
